New cooker wiring

I'm looking to buy a new double oven and induction hob to replace my very old ones. The current units are both wired to an double pole cooker switch nearby and then on via 6mm cable, under the wooden floor to the consumer unit about 15 feet away and a 30 amp fuse.

Having started looking at induction hobs I realise they can be quite power hungry and there are some "plug and play" versions that have a 13 amp plug and manage the power down. The shop told me I would have to have one of these but, although I'm not an electrician, this didn't ring true to me. I'd welcome some advice.

I thought that Electrical Diversity would allow me to replace the existing equipment on the existing circuit totaling about 15KW. Have I got this wrong?

Depends what you understand by diversity!

15kW on a 30A circuit would allow for less than 50% of the equipment to be used safely, fuse would(could) overload if trying to use too much at once.
General guidance for 15kW (ie 10A + 30% of FL etc) would be less than 30A, (approx 3rd of total load being used at any one time) therefore should be ok.
