hey guys how do you find continuity r1+r2 of 2 way lighting circuit do u have to open the 2 way switching to test at the switches

If identifying for polarity, then yes.
If just for obtaining R1&R2 measurement, then carry out the test at the light point, on the switch-line. Carry out the test, switch the strappers across, and test again.
