A corrigendum will not result in an amendment it is just noting spelling mistakes or grammatical errors which are not uncommon for technical publications. These should be obtained free of charge to fit into the published copy.

I suspect this was spotted not long after publication but yes to alter things to align with a previous edition is plain crazy.

I fully agree with "freddo" , I haven't bought the book yet, I will in January. But what everyone who has bought the spin offs, on site guide etc, they must be incorrect as well. And those who have failed the exam?

You can get beautifully presented text books hard covered with colour pictures, professionally published and error free for less.

IET publication is DIY at best.
