I'm on the lookout for one of these, been told there is a few fakes knocking about...
How can they be distinguished on the second hand market?

Also, what's the best price for a new one?
Ta.

Looks good.
It was mainly an approved voltage indicator I needed. Had the dilog combivolt but the cables packed up.
Mates got a t5 but the megger looks good too.

i have a fluke T5-1000. continuity accuracy is on a par with titanic's navigation system. absolute rubbish.

can't beat the megger. i'm still using a megger continuity/IR tester ( analogue) from 1979, for fault finding.

I've got a tester for general testing, I used the dilog for safe iso etc. The Megger mentioned above looks OK, anyone got/had one?

I've got one that's why I suggested it. I've had it about 18 months and never had a problem with it. It's fairly rugged, I've dropped it 10ft off a ladder onto a patio and it was ok.
