IMPORTANT: Quick forum permissions check - Can you reply to this if you see it please? :)

I've reconfigured the forum permissions and usergroup settings and need to make sure that those who should have access to here, do actually have access to here.

So if you can reply to this if you see it please. We should end up with all those marked Trainee - And then all those who have been granted permission manually to help those trainees with their advice.

Also, while I have you, if any trainee has been contacted by a company or person after becoming a member of this area, could you let me know via email please? [email protected]

TIA :D ;)

i can see it.

edit, and i only had to use 4 words!!!!!.

See you've got the tag there and shouldn't have.

I've switched your account over to the one without the tag.

Can you still see this?

Edit: shhhh that's a secret.

yep. i can see it. i did'nt agree with trainee access for qualified/experienced sparks. trainee mentor or adviser would be more appropriate.

I can see swell.
Disagree with the Trainee Electrician
It should be Retired Trainee Electrician. :D

and TA ?

Confused.com.> ? ? ?

I also see the post.

There's no need to denote what type of member you are if you've been hand picked to help provide advice in here. It's basically the same setting as a trainee, but has no tag at all. So I'm switching people over to it now.

People who had the mentor tag, still needed to have trainee applied for some reason. A settings mix up maybe. I've gone through them all today and attempted to fix them. But just going through some errors.

I can see it.

But I don't like the badge that says "Trainee Electrician"!

Trusted Advisors will be being erased soon I think. I've given them no explicit access to any particular area. The TA's who are awesome and provide advice in here already, will have the 'group' applied that doesn't have the tag. Which gives them access to here like a trainee has, but doesn't show them with a tag.
I also see the post.
And I'll sort yours out too now.

Hence me needing to ask and make this thread I think. Without it, as I don't know you guys, I don't think I'd have been able to work it out. And other admins now don't have access to the member accounts because of all the laws we have now regarding collecting and protecting personal data.

I can see this too.

And my green stripe has me down as being in the territorial army or a teaching assistant

I see it. I had the Trainee badge but now it's gone.

You have the same permissions to access just don't need the trainee badge unless you're a trainee. So it's working. :)

et moi,monsieur Dan.

Okay @Lou did a few hundred and she's got an eye problem at the mo so she is really pleased she managed it. Thank her for me if you bump into her on the forum somewhere. :)

All those who have provided us trainee information should have the Trainee tag. Then all the professional guys who have said they don't mind helping out the trainees, just don't have a tag and have access. We don't really denote who who's helping you guys out. We know and you know when you get helped. That's all that matters.

I'm trying to make the forum look awesome on a mobile device and 20 tags per user just isn't cutting the mustard. We want to end up with 1 each, if that.

dan, do i qualify for TA? i help trainees where i can.

The Trusted Advisor tag isn't anything to do with the trainees Tel. You lost yours (and would have lost 5 if you had 5) for the various shyte you cause on a weekly basis.

Stay good and you might end up with it, or one similar down the line.

always have done.

I can see it too, not sure if I need the TA label though, I ain't fussed either way :)

Yes you do my friend. :)

That was a balls up on my part too. All staff lost everything but staff. Because at one point we looked like a fairground ride. Super colourful. So I started from scratch and got a bit sidetracked.

Just to let people know, trainees are now marked properly. We are trying to come up with a way to mark those helping the trainees, without dishing out more tags. I won't explain why too many tags isn't good for the forum (it's confusing enough for me and the staff) but it's bad.

So hang in there.

Okay boys and girls.

If your username is indigo, you have access to the trainee forum. If you're a trainee, you have the tag too. If you're not, you more than likely have your own tags, at least Arms, if not TA also.

How's that? @GMES @Marvo @Leesparkykent @westward10 @darkwood @SparkyChick @Lou and of course not forgetting @Sintra

Big thanks to the trainees for coming here for help. Big thanks to the guys helping out for helping out.
