Hi , thinking of putting in some under cabinet lighting and plinth lighting in the kitchen , want to use leds,m my question is where is the ideal place to locate the drivers/transformers and whats the minimum IP rating for the lights - location is in kitchen? cheers

buy a pre-wired kit with plug-in driver.

plinth - fused spur above the worktop (or feed from lightswitch) with cable going somewhere under the cabinets, behind the plinth. install driver in there.

under cabinets - feed cable ending on top of cabinets, transformer going in there, cables for individual lights to be dropped behind the cabinets.
