Guys

A quick question, I have an outside light controlled with a switch inside, iI has sensor fitted which works.

However when I switch the light on from the switch it flashes on and goes off once amd then the sensor works fine is this a loose connection or is it a timing issue??

Also the lighting circuit is on a BS3036 5A fuse what sort of Zs reading should I be getting?? Do I need to remove bulds etc to do a Zs test??

Regards

Chris

Hi Chris,
Any of the PIR lights that I have installed work this way, so It would seem to be normal.
Also by switching the switch on and off a couple of times quickly the lamp should stay lit , should you need to extend the lit period for any reason without altering the normal time set.
Dunno about the Z's

Zs would depend on the length of cable etc
As a guidline if your Ze is 0.15 then your Zs in a typical domestic length could be between 0.3 and 1 ohm but this is purely a guestimate. Usually better to get your R1R2 and then Ze and your will have a better idea from them.
