Discuss outside lighting - PIR, timer and switch in the Australia area at ElectriciansForums.net

I

ianbrookes

I have a customer who requires outside lighting controlled by;

(a) a switch for manual override to on
(b) a PIR and timer working together when the switch is off.

the idea of the timer is that it only allows the PIR to operate between certain hours due to wildlife etc.

any idea of packages that do this ? or a combination of products that will work.

also for wiring there is currently a light switch in the house which has a 3 core & earth. This cable goes to a wall mounted box which also has a 2 core and earth coming from the fuse board, they are not connected yet. some idea on wiring would also help.

thanks.

Bit small but hope this helps.

as above diagram, but maybe use 3 core/E from timer and switch to fitting.
