Hi

Just a quick question I would like opinions on

what code would you put for no busbar blanks in a single phase domestic C/U? I am not talking about the cover blanks, these are present, but if you take the cover off and there's spare busbar showing

I am undecided yet but (if I came across it at some point) would like to know a few spark's opinions

Thanks
Jamie

A very specific theoretical question Jamie. What do you think it should be coded as?
C1= AAAAA We're all going to die.
C2= Well if something else happens we might die
C3= Not up to scratch.

Busbar shroud. Got it.

I think C3? It's not going to kill anyone with the cover blanks in

i'd not code it . other live parts are touchable when the cover is off e.g. MCB terminals.

Dead right Tel but the shroud is supposed to be there. The fact that if you don't know some things are live in there you shouldn't be fannying around in there is neither here nor there.

Before the cover is taken off the CU the isolation switch or external iso switch should be turned off.

Adding to the question:-

What code would you give if there were missing MCB blanks?

from the OP i took it that he meant spare sections of busbar with no MCB attached, under the shroud.

The c/u has no shrouds and the spare busbar has not been trimmed down at the last mcb, like if you use 6 of the 10 ways and 4 extra comb's of the busbar are there then what code would it be as there should be shrouds on each comb

I hope that makes sense, I am starting to make myself confused now haha
