£8.57 per hour.... I wouldn't even get out of bed in the night for pee for that!

The maintenence electricians where I work (prison) are on £18000 p/annum. That's works out to roughly £9.25 p/hr, so perhaps that's a standard wage. I asked one of them why they worked for that wage and they said they had been self employed in the past and now just wanted some security and no hassle. They were perhaps in their late 50's as are most of the other maintenance electricians.

An insult, but then the contract is only 24hrs per week. Might suit a long time spark who could afford to take a big drop in money and semi retire to the golf course the rest of the week.

Shocking isn't it.

When you view the ad, do you see a box on the LH side - "Get qualified for his job"?

The first course suggested is "Professional Electrican Course - Distance Learning".
But wait, ... the second one I might need is "Air cabin crew operations course - Distance Learning"
