30+ years old and still going strong, albeit the batteries don't hold their charge for long!

Are they available outside of Germany?

I see there are whia screwdrivers also re-brand as weidmuller as well.

if you open it up, you will likely find a modern battery replacement that will hold a good charge and make it like new.

That's exactly the tool I invented in my head around 10yrs ago! I remember mentioning it to my tutor at the time who thought it was a stupid idea. He said electric drivers already exist, but I meant a standard sized screwdriver as per your link. I think the obscene publications squad will be after you for your post Pete!!

ring it on I have been into toolporn for years they aint caught me yet

Just seen the price and a miracle happened I have unseen it!
(re my earlier post)

It is expensive, but I reckon it could save up to 20 mins labour time per day. So over a week that's nigh on two hours. So it could pay for itself within a month or so. Not to mention the benefits of carrying out less twisty repetitive motions..

Did I over egg the time saving it would give? Probably.... Am I trying to justify in my own head the need for one? Abso - &+*#ing - lutely!!!

And seen as I had this idea a decade ago I feel it is a date with destiny!

Can the mods block LSK from seeing this post, we all know what he is like.....

I seen this today and loved it. It's extremely expensive though. Anything else like it?

Got one of these too...

The screwdriver bits are rubbish so I use aftermarket ones, but this little chap really does a good job on light-duty repetitive stuff where wielding a "proper" drill/driver would be awkward and tiring.

I will wait for Festool to bring out a really nice version

How will you know it's Cod SBO not everything is as it seems, spooky.
Well, fish is a fairly generic term. Could be Haddock I suppose. Or you can get Hake now, or a bit of Dogfish in various modern guises.

Got my finger on the trigger!

But I ain't gonna pull it yet! Emailed Wiha last night to ask about warranty details and other details about it. I also offered to give them an in depth review (as a long standing member of herein) if they wished to send me one for nowt! I told them that they have manufactured an item from my head and that they have probably broken intellectual property laws somewhere along the way! And so far the buglers haven't got back to me! Did loads of bottom kissing too in the email, extolling the virtues of their drivers and snips.. Maybe they are still translating it from bad English to good English to Deutsche..

Can't beat capn birdseyes fish fingers...
