I always manage to get a key to work un-supervised.It makes me laugh when you suggest to customers that you could arrive early in the morning, and keep a key for the duration of the job. Then they look at you like you are about to mug their Granny.
I dropped my 6 month old 10.v bosch impact driver from a ladder the other saturday. Grrr. Broke the casing.
I work weekends at normal rate. I hate to turn any work down so i figure i will do as much as i can while i can until weekend working becomes more of an issue

No because I don't like to do weekends, but it just amazes me that joe public just expect it
I thought you were supposed to be able to drop those from 2m onto concrete without them breaking?I dropped my 6 month old 10.v bosch impact driver from a ladder the other saturday. Grrr. Broke the casing.
In the industrial scene we end up working nearly every weekend. It does get tiring but then over the years it seems a treat to have one off !!

I never even had Cristmass day off for 14 years.
i've worked for companies as a subby on industrial/commercial projects and it really cheeses me off when they expect you to work for your flat rate on a weekend (because you're self employed). whilst their blokes, who work on the books, get paid a premium for this work. i've turned down loads of weekend work because of this. what's even more insulting is when they offer you time and a fifth. i'd rather be re-charging my batteries at home.In the industrial scene we end up working nearly every weekend.
