Could someone please give me examples of what this would cover.
I'm assuming it's irrelevant to portable equipment like a lawn mower on a domestic installation and more to do with industrial.
Thanks in advance.
We're you testing the PFC or PSC??
Im assuming PFC from those readings. If I'm right it would suggest no earth.
If you were doing PSC it would suggest the neutral isn't connected to earth at the supply transformer. Which I very much doubt
3 core Swa feeding ip rated plastic sockets outdoors.
He 3rd core of the Swa has been used as a cpc but the armour is not connected to earth; but has been made off with metal banjos. Would this warrant a C2 or C3? I'm assuming as the armour isn't extraneous a C3? ?
Thoughts please ...
Landing light is not fully switching off when operating the 3 switches on the landing/hallway.
A small voltage (less than 40v) is present between the switched live and neutral.
After trying a new lamp it worked fine.
Any ideas anyone??
Someones had a right laugh throwing that ring in! And i fully agree with you anyway pal. Worst is fault finding when alterations have been made on a ring main and you end up with sockets going from one room to the next, back downstairs, upstairs etc etc.
The joys of our job i guess!
Its the same in the regs. Completing a condition report on a TT system the other day and the NIC software on the laptop applied the Cmin factor. Doubt that helps but ive had the same sort of query
