We have a trainee forum which is free of charge and has experienced mentors on hand to assist trainees with their studies. There's no strings attached, it's just experienced guys in the electrical industry helping out the next generation of tradesmen.

In the Trainee Forum
all questions, regardless of their nature will recieve a balanced reply that's free from judgement, abuse and ridicule so there's no such thing as a stupid question.

The mentors give their time and expertise for free and as a forum we take the responsibility of ensuring their generosity and efforts aren't abused by chancers and DIY'ers who are attempting to gain info to undertake work they shouldn't be.

To do this we require some info about yourself and the course you are on and to keep this information private we have a special area of the forum for applications where the thread you make is only visible to yourself and the forum staff. The info you give is for the purpose of verifying you're a bona fide trainee, we don't give the info to anyone else and we don't use it for any other purpose.

If you've got reservations about disclosing info please feel free to private message one of the active trainees at random to check we're as good as our word. If you choose not to give the required info then unfortunately we can't give you access to the trainee forum.

General Rules;

You must currently be on a course to qualify. There are a few very 'short courses' that don't qualify for trainee forum access but generally, any full time course that's more than a few months long will get you in.

It's pretty easy going but I'd suggest you don't use the trainee forum for 'step by step guides' on how to do your weekend private jobs.

Also just pasting up your homework questions without you first attempting an answer and expecting them to be done an hour later when Emmerdale Farm is finished or you return from the pub/girlfriends house isn't going to make you any friends.

To apply click here and fill out the new thread by copy/pasting the required info below that's in bold text and fill in the details.

Staffing of the forum is voluntary and the staff also have full time jobs so don't despair if it takes a day or two to get a response.
