When wiring surface switch backboxes, what is the correct way to leave the cpc if there is no terminal?
Is it as simple as leaving it in connector block or is there a better way?

Cheers

Some surface boxes have an earth terminal specifically for that.

If they dont then i just crimp them through, unless a metal plate is used...

But that would look naff on a pvc box.

I sleeve it with the sleeving a bit longer than the conductor and fold the end over gently. This may be against a reg but it was a habit I got into and have never found out whether it's kosher. I'd be happy for confirmation one way or the other.

If there is't a termination in the pattress for the cpc then i just earth sleave it and connection block, then it's there waiting for anyone else who may need it in the future. don't really see what else you can do
