This is in regards to wireless light switches i posted to two other forums. Surely someone here has some experience with the switches that is willing to share. So here is the meat. I have no experience with these switches but I am considering one for the purpose of adding a switch where running wire and adding a 4 way switch just is not the best option. I currently have a conventional 3 way circuit. If I go with a wireless switch, must I replace both wall switches with a receiver or will a conventional 3 way switch also work within this wireless circuit so that I only have to replace one conventional switch with a wireless receiver and simply add the wireless switch in a convenient location within radar distance from the receiver?

Midwest- yes I think i am going to do either Leviton or the runlesswire. However, the runlesswire switches appear to be an original install option where you put the receiver at the panel and just program your switches and place them wherever you want. My application is a church basketball gym. One set of my existing switches is centered well enough that I can get by with the 120 to 159 foot distance. My concern is what is going to operate the remaining switch. I’m thinking I either have to delete that switch entirely or install an3 way receiver in its place but I am trying to be sure before we order something incorrectly or have to reorder because we got it wrong. Thanks.

I see your from the US, although these devices are widely available, it might be best seeking advice from one of the many US electrician on this forum. If I can think of their names, I’ll post here.
