HI Can anyone help me understand how I work out the "short circuit capacity(KA)" for Domestic Electrical Installation Certificate. Sorry struggling with this one.:blush5:
It is the maximum fault a breaker or fuse can safely clear and still remain usable afterwards. On MCBs it is a number with a box round it (at least on the newer ones). For fuse ratings, see the regs book!
Thanks for reply but I am just looking at a Wylex MCB and all that is on the front is B32 and NSB32 so I don't think that is telling me what I am looking for.
