Hi All

We have an installation where the panels are to be installed over or near to lightning protection down leads on a school roof.

I have read the DTI guide and would like to get your thoughts on this as this is the first time we have had to deal with LPS systems.

Thanks

Talking to an LPS specialist is always good advice. You could also to to Dehn UK. We do have some info on our website here if that's of any use. Otherwise feel free to give me a call to chat.

The school should have a file on the LPS - contact the supplier/installer and get their advice. I looked at something similar on council offices a while back. LPS supplier required us to bond the array frames at several points to the nearest straps, using the same size of strapping (25mm from memory). They also strongly recommended surge protection for the inverters (which were going to be roof mounted). Job never came off so didn't pursue it further.
