We are renovating our kitchen/bathroom. installing an oven, and electric shower if possible. but the builder (who afaik is not an eelectrician) has said we would need another wire from our meter to the kitchen..
this would mean removing floor boards, digging through floor etc..
so i have that as an option, alternatively i was thinking:
1. if i upgraded my house supply, (for context last year when we switched our meters to smart, the enginner who came said our house power was low and if we were to get EV cars in future, we would need to upgrade the amps/fuse or something)
2. as i can see there is a 'tunnel' of sorts coming out the kitchen, if i get a fibre glass cable through to get the second wire and then pull it..
but surely if i went to my Distributor and upgraded my fusebox/amps or w/e is needed, that should solve the problem?
Additionally would i need some sort of isolation units/spur etc?
Thanks
