I dont have AM2 because it was not about back in the day, i dont have NVQ3 for the same reason.
I do have C&G 236 parts1/2 plus 43 years experience . What are my chances of getting a job?
Getting on a bit 58 years old
Sorry Dave, no chance. Entry level requirements to become registered with Napit are a very specialised 5 day course with a random on line provider. 43 years experience just won't cut it I'm afraid.

Steve you could be right lol, my question was two fold, tongue and cheek also quite serious. I just wondered what some of you guys with their own business, if somebody like me would attract interest for employment.

I'd imagine many businesses would jump at the chance of employing experience over youth, especially smaller businesses who needed an extra pair of hands on less than full time hours.

This industry, like all others, needs to continually train new blood, but doing so is always going to be something of a gamble. New apprentices will mostly have limited abilities, but too many never garner any enthusiasm or bolt for the door upon completion of training.

Crikey Dave, I thought it 100% joking.
43 years experience! You'd get snapped up.

This is probably the biggest problem for the company I work for.
