That's rough. There's little chance of damage to the sheath or neutral under these circumstances. Especially if the intake is already indoors or a basement, where are you going to put a rod safely out of the way except for a 'proper job'.

If it's a refurb, and not an actual building site then they'll often turn a blind eye to the TT in my experience.

Not around here, UKPN and their predecessor EDF are a bunch of little hitlers in that respect.

I once had them refuse to connect a supply as the main bonding wasn't in place. The gas wasn't due to be installed until a week later and the water was a blue poly pipe with a brass tap on the end fixed to a fence post outside.
I showed them that there were no parts to bond but he wouldn't listen!
