Can you photo buffs do likewise ? I know up north we will get satanic mills and horses and carts in the traffic jams and in London just cars cars cars stationary but even so it's nice to see how the other half live ,going to work on a boat maybe but I think it will be good to see

Like hell it is, I can't see any drunks lying around.
The ships are good, worked on them for a while on refits, one of my better jobs.

I used to work in an old mental hospital, about 1978, had to wash incontinent patients, that was occasionally a bit grim, and sometimes quite challenging! :smilielol5:
But that pales into insignificance compared to my wanderings into the wonderful world of PAT testing. Good job we don't carry guns in the UK!

Hell fire, where did you dig up that smiley?

Nice pictures TB, I was in Newcastle on a contract many years ago, it looks like it's changed a lot around that area.

Thanks Mr Dingle but I'm not quite that old. We were installing retrofit control systems on the Stena RO-RO ferries as they were being refurbished in dry dock.

Thanks Marvo. Newcastle is a canny town now, it comes alive at night and it's very impressive on the Quayside.

That scenery is pretty similar to Cape Town southern suburbs. Are the lakes in the pictures near Kingston?

Was our first time up there but I can safely say that if we can squeeze in a week up there every year, I'll be a well happy man.

Marvo, pics 2 and 3 are around Keswick in the lake district, and pic 1 is just south west of there.

Quite well, been many times over the years from living in Leeds and Manc.
I legged it over that hill from the village, around the tops and back down a few years back.
Right knee screaming for beer!
