Anyone out there who has put together a quick guide to regs for Eicr's

The regulations numbers that observations relate to are listed in the tick sheet.
Edd did this list of explanation a few years ago, still very relevant.

So does mine!

Why does anyone do certs by hand any more?

I probably will attempt to use the online certificates at some point, but I like putting pen to paper. I have fairly neat handwriting so I wouldn't have thought that the client would mind. I think i'm almost hesistant to do it for the first time otherwise that will be it! Technology will win!

:yes:I have to agree , there is nothing like a neat handwritten document, pure class and a dying art.
If you have the time and customers are happy ; then why not.
But if you are churning them out , a bit help from technology is also nice.

It is sad that handwritten reports are being classed as inferior ,as if people have not bothered to keep up to date with technology, instead of good old fashioned standards.

If you see the report from my new build house, it is inferior. The spark must be churning out tens of reports a day. The writing is so sloppy it's illegible, and totally defeats the point of issuing a certificate in the first place. I've studied it and I can't make out heads nor tails of it.

Lol, I did say ' a neat handwritten report'. Once the mistake is on the paper it ends up like a spiders web.
Some people have the gift of methodical neat writing; sadly I am not one of them.
I still like to see neat handwritten documents though.
