The simple act of caring is heroicWho gives a flying.... no one cares apart from the two people who seem to build their lives around him and this thread.
It's a lesson from a long-standing professional in how to extract a large sum of money and leave them thanking you for it.With the work the homeowner had already done in the house I'm surprised she didn't fit the trunking herself to be honest.
I'm not really sure what the point of the video is to be honest. There's not a lot to take from it.
Its just an "each time Del posts a new video it gets linked here" thread. Which is interesting because its free advertising for him.Can someone explain to me the point of this thread? I don't get it...
You know you're on an hourly rate when your using a manual screwdriver to fix stuff to the wall. It's a lesson from a long-standing professional in how to extract a large sum of money and leave them thanking you for it.
On the flip side the 'On Price' house basher boys use their 18v impact to tighten down MCBs on their 25 minutre no testing required BG board installsYou know you're on an hourly rate when your using a manual screwdriver to fix stuff to the wall.
I fitted a bg board last year and it was fine, well it was for a few days then 2 mcbs diedOn the flip side the 'On Price' house basher boys use their 18v impact to tighten down MCBs on their 25 minutre no testing required BG board installs

No they don't go tight enough, you have to use an SDSDid you do up the terminations with your 18v impact driver ?
Cant afford one, I'm still using flat blade screwdrivers.Did you do up the terminations with your 18v impact driver ?

In all seriousness I still used a 5.5mm flat head screwdriver for terminations on a board.Cant afford one, I'm still using flat blade screwdrivers.
Why don't you use the correct driver - a slotted PH?In all seriousness I still used a 5.5mm flat head screwdriver for terminations on a board.
I just can't bring myself to use an 18v impact driver like most modern house bashers...
He sold them allWhy don't you use the correct driver - a slotted PH?
Aren't they slotted pz?Why don't you use the correct driver - a slotted PH?
I still have boxes full of screwdriversHe sold them all
Same with a 5.5 slotted I reckon , you get sligthly more purchase on the terminal screw Vs a standard PZ or PH which can slip a bit when tightening downThe first time I used a +/- PZ I was surprised that I was able to put at least a quarter turn more on the terminal with the same effort, I was checking the tightness of them after installation with a standard PZ.
I then bought a Armeg torque screwdriver and that was a revelation how tight manufacturers expect the terminals to be torqued, in fact I sent it back to be re-calibrated as I thought surely not that tight, the Din Rail was bending with the pressure I was putting on it.The first time I used a +/- PZ I was surprised that I was able to put at least a quarter turn more on the terminal with the same effort, I was checking the tightness of them after installation with a standard PZ.
Agree, I have wrecked a couple PZ/S but never have snapped a 6.5 flat...YetPZ slotted is a vast improvement on PZ, but I tend to use 6.5mm flat head on anything over 3NM
Slotted screws can be a royal pain in the backside, but most problems result from using the wrong size of driver.Agree, I have wrecked a couple PZ/S but never have snapped a 6.5 flat...Yet
Was an old chisel ground down, I made it vde by using old pedal cycles handlebar gripsFormed from clippings of tin, I hope.
I can't remember back that far.I like NB , he seems a genuine nice guy who cares about the work he does. He reminds me a bit of me when I was his age.
