Gotta be honest Steve, those cables dont look like they are in a safe zone.

And those earth cables need tidying.

the closest point to the corner is above the 150mm , straight run down and they rest of them are on top of rafters of garage?? before coming back down into top of CU..!??

Ideally mate, you should have kept the within the 150 and followed close (ish) to the back of the door frame.

i would have but the building was an Extension and there is some crazy goings on with steel work and concrete blocks / stench pipe !!! also i had to come out in the kitched where the old CU was mounted as i have a DNO supply cable in the wall as well as fitted kitchen to content with!! got a sheet of nicely cut steel going over the chase before the wall is re plastered to protect the cables!

Where?

Unless there is something in the middle of the wall that cant be seen on the 2 photos.

Fair do's Steve.

I think you should tae the advice above from chiplard about fitting a socket below them cables.

I can just see a nice coat rack being fitted there.

sockets not a bad idea actually as i have a bit slack on the 2.5 cable!! will implement it sunday!

its my parents house bye the way and they wont be no coat rack going there as the door opens against the wall and also if you look at one of pics you can see where i took the pan rack down to get access!!

yeah im glad i posted the pics why not!

i might be missing something here, but are you leaving the earth rod exposed - i always thought they had to be in a pit / under boards etc - not exposed

They shouldn't be located up against a buildings wall either, that's where most of the builders rubble is going to be. So not much solid contact between soil and rod... And you would be very lucky to get a full length of rod in the ground before hitting something solid. Most rods located in such positions have been cut, when the rod couldn't be driven any further....
