What the hell is the problem with people out for a fight lately, picking up on any possibility that may happen and treating it as fact?

The building, built 16 years ago, contravenes regs due to something under the ground? Oh really, well what the hell has that got to do with changing a CU?

And how come non members are able to post in the arms?

Me too, and tonys, they both seem to have turned up at the same time and they both have crap attitudes.

yeah tonys has a if your not JIB your not sparky attitude! totally wrong way to go about stuff!

He's full of shoite mate, he was going on about how he wasn't going to go part p and undercut the part p guys, then 2 days later he reckoned he was a QS!! What-t'-hell-ever

slapped on the side of the house is an apt description.for anything built since 1970. weetabix floors, roof held up by fibreglass, dry lining cardboard on thermalite block ( can't fix anything. ) MDF ( mud derived fibre ) board glued on to said cardboard. joiners don't even know what a screw is for anymore.

Isn't that what they try and give your missus whilst your out earning the money
not while the rotty's at home they bloody well don't.

Thanl you! bloody hate new houses, hopefully I'll always have the choice of an old one!!

it all started with them stupid cavity walls, bodged together with metal spikes that, of course corroded, giving rise to mortgage retentions and all sorts of problems. they were passed by building control though!

From my limited experience with building control, mate, I would say all that they know about building and maintenance of dwellings, they heard down the pub.

wonder what they'll say in 25 years time when all these houses built in the last 15 years start falling down. soon we will see houses with built in obsolescence and depreciation, just like cars. be a glass's guide to used house prices, sloely for the estate agent' trade. " you bought that hous in 2010 for £250,000, now it's 10 years old, been abused by having kids in it, it's near a school, so high risk of theft. I can't give you more than £50000!"
