hi guys.

Installed a diehl inverter on a 3.68 kw system back in the beginning of december. All was working lovely until over christmas. The client was away and came back to find all their power had gone (main rcd tripped out) they reset this and fund that the inverter was not working and flashing up 'error code 110, call for service' I went out and had a look, tried leaving the inverter switched off to see if it would reset but it didn't. I replaced the inverter with a spare I had and all fired up lovely, have been checking in on it and it been working well, until yesterday I had a phone call from them with exactly the same thing, power tripped. They turned it back on and inverter now flashes up error 110 call for service. The error code is not displayed in the manual and getting hold of diehl is proving to be impossible! any ideas?!

Excuse the grammar, am rushing out of the door!

ive no expericance of that error, but just thinking out load, maybe a voltage issue, or string issue?, i would be thinking something like that perhaps rather than the inverter itself, it has been cold of late, could it be high string voltage? allthough the Diehl has a wide input spectrum.

I filled in the Diehl service page (using google translate) to let them know about the fault code. They didnt confirm receipt of the request but a new inverter turned up approx 5 days later. This was in early January 2012.

thanks for your replies, I have been out to check voltages, grid is 241, dc is 552 on a bright sunny cold day, still cant get hold of diehl!
any bright ideas?!

OK I know you PM'd me and I sent the manual over but a 110 is a blocking code. If that's what the title means. Just says isolate from mains and if it continues contact service. Not much help.

It will pay to look at the fault code list on the inverter in case there's an earlier code that might be use. It is possible from the service menu to reconfigure the inverter, like a reboot. Worth a try but I think you might need to ring Deihl on this.

Had a similar issue so called Diehl in Germany and told him what happened and that the error code 110 was showing up. He said it was part of a faulty batch and you fill in an online form and they send you a new one. Now just gotta hope we haven't installed too many from the same batch!

thanks keith, i hope the same, got through 25 ish jobs in the panic, the majority being diehls! had another one go down now making it 3!

Now had the first one of our own go down yesterday. Error 110. Also on the events list codes F254, F112 and F110. Ours tripped the MCB also.

Couldn't get Deihl on the phone so emailed service who came back to me at 8 this morning. It appears Deihl are fully aware of this problem and it is down to a faulty component on the AC side. The only course of action is a swap of the inverter. Have to complete an online form for delivery and collection of the replacement inverter. I will let you all know how this pans out.

Our inverters serial number starts 0001.11111----------- if of any interest.
