help with short? on panel??

Can anyone tell me what is going on here? This is a Phono Solar panel, 8 1/2 years old, 10 year warranty. I called installer and he gave me the "well we'll have to come out and see it and test it" after saying in an email it was broken................??

Glass looks shattered, how does it compare with others, just had one panel shatter like that after very high winds.

Had similar, with no apparent/obvious reason for the damage.
Perhaps more worrying was melting of sub-frame underneath!

Certainly not covered the warranty!

Are you saying that damage wasn't covered by the warranty? How could that be?

Never bothered when the solar panel is damaged I remove it from the grid and test it. If it fails either voltage or current. It is removed.
