Hi
Can anyone confirm what the maximum length is for consumer unit tails?
I wasn't aware that there was any set maximum - but I have heard elsewhere that there is a maximum of 3 metres ???
Is this the case, and can anyone tell me where to read up on it.

Is it actually in the regs somewhere?

Is it a matter of voltage drop???

Thanks in advance

D

Reg 433.3.1 (iii) Allows the tails to be unfused with the DNO's agreement. The DNO stipulates the max length.
Reg 434.3 (iv) requires additional protection ie trunking or DI tails.

Google searches often pop up old threads and people post on them without realising the thread date. This one had a response which showed no content, I deleted but it has showed it as an active thread in the current forum.
