Hi, I would appreciate anyones help.
I am wiring a new build for my sister. I'm confused about weather I need bonding or not.
The main water pipe coming into the property will be plastic, as will all of the plumbing with the exception of about 1 meter of copper pipe coming out of the flow and return of the boiler, and about 6" coming out of the coil of the hot water tank. I do this because the plastic pipe is prone to sagging, plus it should not be directly connected to the boiler.
I have read that any metal would need to be bonded, but I have also read that in a plastic pipe installation bonding metal parts will be more dangerious.
Now you know the background my questions are:
1. The boiler will be outside the property. Does it need main bonded?
2. Does the hot water cylinder need bonded?
3. Does the kitchen sink need bonded?
Thanks,
Dee.
