extending telewest connection

hi all,
i need to extend my existing telewest connection from the house to the shed to make way for the twins we are expecting.
what i have now is telewest box on the wall with what appears to be coax type cable with f type connector going from there to the modem.
can i just run a new cable from telewest box out to shed so modem etc are all out there??
if so what is the cable type needed??

Go for the new connection, they provide you all you need for the connection...

no, i ran a new cable
