you should remember that this is a fourum. not a stage for you to have a pop at other people or make out you know more than anyone else

please explain my "POP" and also explain "know more" than any one else..!!

oh and for you little childish comment of "know it all" you contradict your self in so many ways!!

moisture in the air has no effect on electrical fittings i,ve seen plenty of batton holders under open porches with no problems. so your post was pretty stupid
moisture in the air corroded through a 12" x 9" RSJ on my property. buggered up the electrical fittings as well.

now to bring some controversy into the equation. its in a porch. it's attached to the building fabric. so not notifiable. minor works certificate.

i may be wrong. but as i understand part p, outside electrics, as in remote from the house, garden, shed, ponds, etc. are notifiable. anything attached to the house, e.g. porch lights, security lights etc. are not notifiable

sent me home with a bunch of bananas , mate.

As per EGtBR (p60) it includes "Outdoor lighting or outdoor power installations" with no mention of being screwed down.
yes. agree with outdoor lighting/installations. but anything fixed to the fabric of the building is just an extension to the indoor installation as if it were an extra light or socket in a room.

I'm not sure I agree with this, can't really see the difference between an outside light attached to a post or the house, both are supplied from the house!

I think it's more of a special location because of the exposure to the elements, like exposure to water jets in a bathroom, steam in a sauna etc.
