new guy saying hello

Hello,
I'd like to formally introduce myself,
My name is Geoff, I'm 36 years old and have been in the electrical business for 8 years. Working as a mate/improver on construction sites. I'm qualified to CnG 2330 level 3 and 17th ed 2011. Currently working on my Nvq level 3.
I know I've still lots to learn, maybe you guys n gals can help a little.
Previous to my electrical career, I was installing data /fiber optics, basically computer networks for 6/7years. And previous to that I was in the infantry, British army for 5 years.
Well I've been quietly lurking in the background, enjoying reading all your comments, posts/treads and have decided to come a say hello.
Well now that's over, I hope I can contribute to this site by helping others less experience than myself ( might be hard to find ha)
Also to keep on learning, and enjoying the more humorous side to the site.

what's the work like derby way? last time i was over there was a couple of jobs and PIRs on my brother-in-laws mcdonalds ( 3 off ). in and around derby.

It's not too bad Tel. Spent all last year on Derby city council house refurbishment. There was 60 sparks on that job. Seems like lots of buildings going up all over place too. I just been working on a new build school block. Deby uni have works going off too. Never seen it this lively tbh.
