Can anyone recommend a 17th edition consumer unit in 12 way. Ideally would prefer a white front - rather an a clear panel.

have to say, used an orange shed BG cons unit today. impressed. Robust construction and excellent main switch terminals and cost wise, excellent, 50 sheets.

Thanks. I have used the BG unit -and found it excellent for the price. Would use it again, however if i recall it is only a 10way, so would need to jiggle the design a little to get down to 10 circuits. I will have a look at the Hager.

BG do bigger boards. inc. hi integrity boards. try their web site. it's just that b&q only do the 10way.

Used the BG ones about three times, was impressed at first but on my last job 3 of the screws would not nip up tight on the MCB`s. Pain in the butt if you just have enough for the job

I think the BG consumer units are an example of getting what you pay for. Not worth the penny pinching in my opinion, always worth fitting good quality kit, much less likely to come back and bite you in the ---.
