I used a top of the range Bosch studfinder and it was useless! We found the studs using a hammer and nail in the end then just put a bit of filler in the small holes.

The trouble that I find with stud finders etc. is they seem to pick up on everything and nothing I had a really cheap one it just beeped at anything . I could wave it over my zip and it would beep, mind you that is the equivalent of a piece 3" x2" :sifone:

The Bosch one I've got worked perfectly at Elex @ Sandown a couple of years back but in reality its completely useless.

Anyone tried their new one?

no. The one i tried was £500! As you say, it gave absolutely meaningless results, therefore... a waste of money!

All that I've tried have been at best inconsistant and mostly useless regardless of cost.

If someone could get it right they'd be onto a winner (and singlehandedly reduce global sales of filler by about 30% ;))

Aye have had it all tool bag , ladders, laser level and drills and hire the rest
