If your Extending or altering a circuit that is on a Rewireable fuse but you need to comply to 17th regulations, Meaning the need for RCD protection, What options do you have getting this to comply??

You could always put a rcd and enclosure next to the c.u. run through the rcd from the rewirable then out to the circuit.

As above also its only the addition to the circuit that may need rcd ,so rcd sockets or rcd spurs used locally or lighting run surface etc

Also putting an rcd to cover the whole of the installation is another option ( You dont get discrimination compared to a 17th ed board but otherwise it complies)and who is concerned abou tihatt anyway? The twin rcd compromise is a load of nonesense

Sockets are an exception because you use portable equipment in them then a rcd is always needed now, although in certain situations you can get round this i doubt these exceptions will ever apply to you.
