Ya need 240v on fingernail

Up until 2 weeks ago I was being stopped four times a day by Gardai. Needed letters to verify I am going to "essential works". However, now it's down to twice a day and no longer been asked to show letter. You sense the foot is being taken off the pedal.
Absolutely. The border checkpoints have disappeared. They were pointless anyway as there are so many backroads. I just drove round the checkpoints.

back down Monday maybe, I have a job to jump onto but no hours onit, so going for a bigger site again.

Some very sunny places that solely use our fused plugs ('Type G'). Might be worth exploring which of these utilise similar wiring standards for ease of relocation.

According to this list, Isle of Man also uses the Europlug - who knew?

I actually got invited to do a job in Hong Kong, from a post on this forum, some years ago. Guy didn't trust local installers to work at his expectations of quality and workmanship. Didn't end up going in the end, can't remember why.

Wouldn't be that, I've spent thirty years of disappearing for weeks on end on tours (possibly why I'm twice divorced??!). I literally just can't remember. Although....... have just had a booking for two weeks work in the Caribbean in January, might have to gauge when best to let the GF know about that one after two years without a holiday.....

I'm off Monday again, brackets and tray all the way. Lovely few months off.

Clondalkin direction I think

Wow, I did not expect that.

We (myself and guy I'm working with) have not been stopped in Scotland so far, though we were prepared with the "essential services" style of defence if asked.

4 times a day? I’ve worked pretty much throughout the last year and never been stopped and never heard of anyone I know being stopped.

Is Eire pretty much East Germany these days?

You've no idea what the Gardaí have been like through this. It's become a totalitarian police state.

They were even demanding to know where people were going before they were given enforcement powers for these "guidelines".
