Bedside socket and switch

Hello everybody! I hope i posted in the rigjt forum. Does anybody knows at what height socket and switch located in the hotel room at the top of bedside?or at what height you would do it guys? Please see picture attached.

Is there not a spec for the job that details heights?

Beds can be slightly different heights... as can the bedside furniture... so the switches etc have to suit the furniture

This is something i would like to have in my bedroom, there is no specs for the job but if somebody knows the heights or what is the standards thats would be great. Yes pictures are from internet just for demonstration purpose so its easy to explain.

There are no fixed standards that I am aware of other than domestically for Part P compliance a per Mainlines post #4.

That said what height is your bedroom furniture (bedside cabinets)? I would suggest putting them 75-100mm above the furniture!

Unless this is a new build or a building undergoing significant changes put them wherever they are most convenient.

I usually put the socket at a height of 25-30 cm from the floor, and the switch at the level of 90 cm so that it is convenient to reach with a hand from the bed.
