Hi - first-time post from a complete novice.

I want to install a 24kw electric boiler on my property but that size requires Phase 3 supply. Northern Powergrid don't install Phase 3 in my area (off grid) but can increase capacity via a split supply. Can I run a phase 3 boiler from a split supply?

I assume not as it is likely to depend on the specification of heaters in the boiler - but I'm just guessing.

TIA

Short answer is NO.
you may be better with 2 single phase boilers, that could be done.

Depends how the heaters are configured. if they are, or can be, star connected, then you can run two of the elements in series across the 430V supply, but the total load would be 16kW, not 24kW.
