Flakey

Hi,
I left work today after carrying out a test everything tested ok so energised the installation and no problems (new install). However when i switched OFF the isolator to the board before the main switch on the board, one of the RCD's tripped (split board). It was the end of the day so have left it until tomorrow was just wondering if anyone had expericenced this before and a probable solution. I will test the RCD tomorrow to see if it is defective if that proves nothing i will then switch on each circuit 1 at a time while switching off isolator to see if for any strange reason that i can not think off one of the circuits seems to induce the RCD tripping when the isolator is off.

Many thanks

Erm... maybe I do t know just a guess, the isolator is faulty and only switched off one conductor or something?

I have previously had issues with mobile phones tripping RCBOs but they had to be pretty close ie on the phone when standing at the board,
Any new additions that could have a cross with something on your board, It will only produce a fault when switched on.
only a thought
