Morning, anyone tried the Megga mft1721 ? After dropping my old 1553 from a step ladder I decided the accessor would be unimpressed with a tester that had gone mute and suffered with a gaping side wound. I hope I made the right decision ?

I have one of the previous range, the 1730. Not quite sure what the new models have over the previous range. The 1730 has over the 1720, Bluetooth memory to store results (I've never used that), re-chargeable batteries ( :) ), clamp meter option (clamp optional extra), type B RCD, earth rod test.

Had it 4 years, dropped it a couple of times. But it has been back to Megger for faults twice (not because I dropped it!), the last one was out of warranty and cost £280.

I can't fault megger at all, I have the 1730, my main lad has the 1720 which is 2 years old it failed the calibration last month and Megger replaced it with a brand new unit no quibbles.
I've just bought the Apprentice the 1711, so waiting to see what that's like.
