Has anyone fitted these card meters? Are they reliable and are they easy to use ie top and adjust price per kw

Are they any good? My wholesaler has recommended it to me for a landlord of mine.

Im in two minds as ive never seen it before and don't really want unnecessary call outs if it keeps packing in

Well the DNOs use them for bad payers/people who are scared of a big quarterly bill so make of that what you will. Assume the tenants are idiots, I've had a few callouts when all the problem has been is they have forgotten to put money on their keys

I think you've misunderstood which meter im talking about. I dont mean the ones dno fit.

Its the meters you can buy at the electrical wholesaler. Like the pound top up ones.

You buy about 250 cards and landlord gives them to tenant

Ah right. There is a type with a card/key that a landlord can fit if he wants more money from his tenants. I have no idea about the usefulness of the type you're talking about

The cards are coded for the meter, otherwise the tenant could purchase cards from another supplier and the landlord
would not be reimbursed for units used. I have fitted several of late without issues save for the 3 phase meter
that failed to disconnect the power when the credit ran out.
