the cluny under byker bridge if you like a good selection of beers and some music if you want to pop in and see a band too,not compulsory tho you can just enjoy the ale.id keep away from the city centre all the chav's and office woppers are out having there xmas do's...not a pretty site..tim from accounts giving it the bigg one cause he's had 2pints..

good beer and a good crowd..

try to get a b&b in jesmond,plenty around,then you will be sorted,loads of bars and places to eat,student area(posh ones) and footballers, nice place,just down the road from newey's too..

Jesmond Dene is on my list of if i have to stay some where it will be there!!

Nights out! depends what your after! get a local pub with no snotty office workers as already discussed prior! is the Central still open near tyne bridge??

i had many of good nights along the quay side and bigg market!

also heard the Trent is canny place..! (up near St James Park) but as others have said! JESMOND is the place to pick a nice student or too up!! bit posh for the usual chav office crowd!

Worked there doing maintenance mate, lasted a week. The final straw was them expecting me to replace a socket but not allowing me to isolate the circuit.

the central has been done up recently,its no longer full of alcy's and prozzies, proper crowd now..the bigg market and quayside id give a swerve mate..full of knacka's..the trents good as is the strawberry if you want to have a geek at the temple of football..

I was up in the toon a week last Friday, TGI's for grub and then tiger tiger. Women dressed up in sexy Santa outfits were good but the rest of it was pants. As above full Xmas parties, paying to get in most places and drinks arnt cheap. Bigg market for me next time.

No, the knob end started on me when I was by myself! Amazing how big he is with a few p1ssed up mates egging him on and its amazing how quickly he shut up once my mate came back from the toilet, six foot, black and physically fit (he is the nicest lad you'll ever meet). A few choice words sorted out the situation.

Durham stop making me out to be a trouble maker. You know me better than that.

and you had issues with Durham house.... one of the friendliest places to stay in lowfell...!

couple of decent ones near metro centre,and the some very decent eateries around there,blyth!! dont stop there mate just do the job and get out..drug capital of the north..

Ok pps i hav landed in y hotel Its the Newgate Hotel about in the city centre about 200 yardds from the train station.

youve landed a good spot there mate,take your pick.to the right you have the bigg market(bigg mistake full of chavs dont go) to the left you have the gate a few good bars and food places,if you like your football walk up past the gate and the co-op up st andrews st into china town(some nice places to eat there too) you will find nufc straight in front of you,theres shearers bar which is good or the strawberry opposite the ground,only a couple of minutes walk from where you are

OK back in gods country and had a good night in Newcastle last night.
Found a decent balti house and got chatting to the guy who was at the table next to me and eating alone. Turns out hes John "rhino" Edwards" the Bass player for a small little known band called..........wait for it

STATUS QUO!!!!!!!

he offered tickets for sat gig in Glasgow but have other plans:love:

after that went to casino and won £55 so curry paid for then a few small beers in a couple of pubs round toon (picking up lingo) and home when prifits spent so a free night for me!
