No pir, installed early 50's no earths, metal conduit not earthed, both lives an neutrals were supplied via fuses ???, but the conduit (now earthed) served well as the new T&E pulled through to lights, I'll post some pics when done

Eng 54 it was just easy as the conduit andncable ran through several walls from the CU into varous lowered ceilings and lathe work above that

Geardie at first look I wanted to fill it with foam and shut it all up again ans sneak out to the car and run away then I thought " might be an earner this"

They used to fuse neutrals. Its in the Part wee doc even.

Takes me back as I did a lot of these in the govenment buildings in the mid 70s and I loved because you would take the old double pole DB off then fit say a wylex or mem DB below the main draw box plus you also had to wire everthing without joints so it was loop in loop out and drums of cable all over the place.

Anyway thats me away to wipe a tear from my eyes.
