Welding West London

Hi guys

Does anybody know of anywhere that does welding in the west London or an area around surrey that has a welding workshop?

Looking to get some mild steel welded and they all seem mobile around here and I live in a flat so no workspace for them to weld outside

There is a "mobile" chap working out of Cranleigh..... not sure if he has a workshop.

Have you tried approaching local metal working companies? They would almost certainly have the skills and tools...

Tried about 10 different welding companies but not thought about metal working companies

Will have a look

Im trying to build a dewalt tough rack framework in the van as custom racking

I would have thought a search for mobile welders may be better for you.

The problem is mobile welders cant weld in the street and I dont have a drive or private off road space for the work to be carried out

Could you not "borrow" some off street parking locally? Car park at one of your local wholesalers?

Is another type of fixing feasible, particularly if you may want to transfer it to another vehicle in the future.
Welding is pretty permanent.

Welding is for the frame but it would be bolted into the van so it could be removed

Its possible it could be bolted together although not sure what I would do about feet
But with all the weight of loaded boxes welding is a better option

try looking for blacksmiths. our local one does any welding i need.

You haven't seen some of the "welding" I've seen bonny lad !!! :cowboy: (and there was nowt pretty about it either!!)

Go to your local car/commercial wagon garage they will have mig welder and should be a problem to fabricate that.

(Back street car garage not main dealership)
