Please list the tools you'd buy if you started out again and I'll grab the lot in a few months and make a new starters toolbox list topic thing somewhere. 
We did a similar thing on the tile forum and it's a good topic for new and experienced (never old!) tradesmen to browse through from time to time.
I'm guessing the list would be slightly different to THIS one by the way?!
