Hi,
Ok carrying on from this thread, thought id start a new one with the photos, this is a full rewire and renovation of a grade 2 listed building...
http://www.electriciansforums.co.uk...trical-forum/92270-i-wont-name-shame-but.html
I went back today to have a look...
1. Consumer unit missing blanks, have now fitted them to make safe
2. Tangled mess inside CU
3. Live wires hanging out walls
4. On some of the lighting there's 2.5mm T&E used, what the hell this is about I don't know.
5. No smokes (full renorvation of property)
6. TC&E poking out ceiling and wall at stairs (presumably for smokes ?)
7. Majority of light switches upside down, so looks off when on
8. Numerous junction boxes with lots of wago's and connector block in, why??
9. Two bathrooms, both have extractor fans, neither have over run timer as switched straight off light despite specification for 15 min over run on both, no three pole isolator too as not used TC&E
10. Non IP rated / not suitable down lighters installed in bathroom
11. No bonding to water despite lead incomer and copper pipework
12. cables no in safe zones, also bunch of cables in wall right behind skirting board
13. Cable bends and radius issues in trunking
14. Poor fixing of trunking etc..
15. apparent ring circuit, 32A MCB, no continuity between L-L, N-N or E-E, this is the case on two apparent rings
16. Unlabled circuit at CU? Whats this i wonder
17. shower circuit just left hanging in bathroom with no isolator
18. exposed inner condutors (grey stripped back too far etc)
The list goes on and just generally a very poor standard of work too.
The lad, I will not name, he lives in Hinckley and is registered with Elecsa. I am just compiling a complaint for the customer to send to them, I did ring them and Ill be honest, they were quite concerned and wanted me to email photos over asap so.
You know, its just like things like the extactor fans, its going to be a pain in the --- now putting them right as its all been lime rendered.
Take a look at the certificate, its a joke and full of inaccuracies, i can spot a lot of the.
Call me picky, but this is work of a true cowboy.

Ok so lets just see if they do appear to be rings, well certainly the one that's meant to be a ring....

Ok let me try it at a socket, nothing on L-L and N-N, but look at E-E

Nice bit of 2.5mm for the light switch...

Nice IP rated lights for the bathroom, or NOT as it may be...

Hmm, whats this, shall I lick it? A stray wire that's glowing, I did check and sure enough it had 230v on it.

Some random cables, I wonder what these do?

Some top quality workmanship here too...

Ah so thats where the water bonding is, not connected!

I do have more photos coming from the customer when the wiring was put in so you can see that side of it too.
But anyway here's the EIC etc, sorry about the quality, this is all the customer got from him

Oh, the extension on the back is where the kitchen is going, the house was gutted when this was done and the electrician was informed it needed power and light etc, its two storey and got loads out there... There's no provision for this either.
I did speak with him and he said you need to take the power for the kitchen off the plug circuit...
So, comments please!
