Calculation submain cables
I can only assume for initial cost reasons. The TT lines are on their land and have had it put it as close as possible to the transformer.- 2piesFC

Hi, thanks for the reply. The run is 100m to a proposed feeder box, then a further 25m to a house and 50m to a small workshop. What switchgear would be best suited to using a parallel feed? I was goijg to TT this at each connection point with the runs being so long- 2piesFC

Dimmable Gu10 nightnare
I used some from toolstation. Cant think of the brand. Never had any bother with the non dimmable ones so just assumed these would be fine- 2piesFC

Hi thanks for three reply. I fitted a varilight Pro dimmer too after reading up on them. I used dimmable lamps from toolstation. I've not used their lamps before.- 2piesFC

Hi there. Quick one for you hopefully. Used an mk grid switch dimmer to switch GU10 led lamps. Load is well within the rating but soon as dimmer is on there's a hum.
