I see what you mean as no exposed conductive parts on shower or pull cords
my idea was to avoid running a cable from the floor to ceiling and that cross bonding the CPC's in pull cords would help lower the resistance between them, now thinking code 3 would be adiquet
Bathroom has an electric shower, so hoping I can bond from CPC to pipe inside the shower, and that the shower pipe is accessible under bath and use that to bond hot and cold bath taps then take across to sink, also bond from shower isolator pull cord to light pull cord which will intern bond...
What code would you give when doing EICR for a property that has no supplementary bonding in a bathroom, there is no RCD on any circuit but zs and insulation tests are good,
Is it acceptable to measure the resistance between the shower and pipework, if it's under 0.05 ohm's take it as bonded...
looking at it now your right i should of tested between earth and neutral, but because the RCD was tripping under load this wrongly led me to believe it was a live/earth fault, although i wouldn't call it random guessing as i was methodically going through each circuit,if i didn't find the...
Hi all I got called out to a fault yesterday and thought I'll share with you how I discovered the fault
I received a phone call and the customer said that the rcd was tripping and asked if I could look at it so she went out and left the keys with a neighbor.
She had a 6 way board with one rcd...
Hello i have a son who has special needs and needs help playing with his toys, To enable him to use his toys i have rewired the toys switch to a big button type switch which he can press more easily (see attached pic)
Now what I would like to do is make the switch wireless so there's no...
Just something to consider if it's a split board have you checked the neutrals all correspond with the correct neutral terminal. Or maybe two circuits on separate rcd's are sharing the same neutral away from the fuse board i.e junction box
i always run cable in safe zones but had a conversation with a sparks and he said if the cables are grater then 50 mm from surface then you can run them wherever, is this right?
so it would be ok to drop a cable down from the ceiling into a stud wall, then drill through the floor plate and into...
had a look round a friends where there's x8 12v down-lights witch all have individual 20-60va dimmable electronic transformers,
these lights are switched by a 400w GET dimmer switch which buzz's quite loudly when they are dimmed but works fine if the switch is fully on
you can also hear some...
