Reducing pin lugs are useful for getting oversized cables into main switches.

How are the output cables from the VSD screened, I’ve had multiple issues with SY cable screen bunched into a tail rather than glanded with the correct glands that have cause all sorts of problems.
Check that the contractors are correctly rated for switching of motors under load, (AC3/AC23) I have found panel builders use the wrong componanrts.
As the overloads are thermal the heat from the contactors can cause problems, you could use remote mountings for the overloads to move them away...
Sorry but I don't know how to edit posts! company is called proxswith, no Y.

I have to service a few of the manual rotary ones each year, if I replace any I will let you know
If you search for a company called “proxyswitch” they make a really simple, robust time delay switch in the U.K. I use these on most of the grain handling installs I do. They make low voltage and mains versions.
On a side note I priced a 68A series parallel Crompton starter from CEF & KEW, KEW...
Also consider the environment the cable I’d installed in, if ifs a fan in a grain drier ambient temperature could be high, if it’s running through a milking parlour or slurry it will be subject to strong chemical attack. All farm cables seam to be eaten or farmerised (abused?) so install the...
Another way for the hydraulic drives would be to use engine driven hydraulic pumps

Split phase is plus and minus 230v (3 wire) plus neutral, it is used where you only have single phase HV
It may be worth checking out old farm equipment as a source of large single and split phase motors. I work on lots of grain handling installations that only have single phase supplies, one I’m doing at the moment has a 20hp 68a single phase series-parallel motor on the fan!
The old starters...
Split phase is used in the countryside where the farms were connected to the grid during the farm electrification scheme many years ago. They where supplied from 2 wire overhead 11kv dropped to 240v 2 wire with a local transformer which was fine to start with but as equipment became bigger the...
After lurking around for a while I thought I should get involved!
Im based in Gloucestershire (Land of Split Phase 480V!).
I mainly do Agricultural Installations. Heres this afternoons entertainment, it the sort of thing I often have to service and repair!
